Educator

From being a dance captain to teaching children how to dance, Alyssa Jo Marten is a passionate educator that leads with humility and accessibility. As a leader Alyssa always meets the room where they are and does her best to pass down the history of dance with just as much importance as the vocabulary of the dance.

Trailblazer

Alyssa is a second generation American Citizen of Latin Descent, and the first in her family to earn a BFA in Dance. Recognizing her privilege of getting to pursue dance has ignited a flame in her to make dance accessible to all in terms of finance, representation and societal value. Alyssa is constantly investigating what she can do to make dance accessible to all communities.
